My favourite badge was problem-based learning. I really
enjoyed this style of teaching because the students are provided with a
problem/task and resources to complete it. I created a concept map using
bubbl.us to demonstrate how students would research a problem based on reducing
waste at an elementary school. The other task that I completed was examining
WebQuest. WebQuest is an online resource that uses structured problem-based
lessons to help students participate in solving a problem. It’s based on inquiry
and higher-order thinking skills. The WebQuest I examined involved creating an
advertisement to travel to Egypt. Students could refer to a rubric online. I
think this badge helped me to understand there are many different ways to
implement problem-based learning in a classroom.
The other badges I have completed for the cup of wisdom
include gamification, digital identity, digizen, project based learning, module of choice, and digital teacher. I have
also completed the professional order badge and the genius hour portfolio.
